National Defence Academy Examination
National Defence Academy is located Khadakwasla, Pune. On passing the UPSC Exam and SSB Interview, the selected candidates join as cadets at NDA. NDA trains cadets of Army, Air Force, and Navy for three years. After completion of three years they go on to their respective service academies for the pre-commission training of one year.

Combined Defence Service Examination
The “Combined Defence Services” (CDS) Examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. The Notification released in the months of October and June, and the examinations are conducted in February and November respectively.

AFCAT Examination
AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) is a recruitment examination organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The examination is held twice a year in the months of February and August, applications to which are made available in December and June respectively. AFCAT 2021 Examination can be taken by both Male and Female Candidates who have completed their Graduation.

CAPF (AC) Examination
UPSC conducts CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) AC Examination for the posts of Assistant Commandants. This written is to recruit the eligible candidates as Assistant Commandants in BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB.

ACC Examination
The Army Cadet College Wing trains soldiers from the regular army,navy and air force for commission as Officers in the [Indian Army]. The ACC feeds into the Indian Military Academy Dehradun. The nature of training at ACC and NDA is nearly identical, both run a three-year degree course in science and humanities.

Territorial Army Examination
The Territorial Army is a part of Regular Army and its present role is to relieve the Regular Army from static duties and assist civil administration in dealing with natural calamities and maintenance of essential services in situations where life of the communities is affected or the security of the Country is threatened
